Saturday 2nd July Victoria

Off to Victoria today. Paul has a day off from the driving seat – we’ll he only had to drive to Sooke town centre where we picked up the bus. $5 each for a day ticket. Cheaper than the petrol plus parking. Started off with a coffee in a new place – really good and the pumpkin scone was delicious.

Then walked around the inner harbour to Fisherman’s Wharf.

Heron
Spent a while watching this guy. Didn’t realise he was eating till I downloaded the pics
Chew
And another!
Off he goes looking for another

Beautiful city
Beautiful garden
Crab trying to hide from the camera but the colour gave it away
Fisherman’s Wharf

The usual white crowned sparrow

Next round to Ogden Point

Couldn’t make out what kept coming out of the water and then realised it was a diver!
America in the distance
Wonderful to see this otter drying off
Realised he was being photographed
And off he went
Another hungry heron
You may just see a swallow. They are very quick
Oystercatcher
Mmm nothing on that one so off we go
Maybe this will be a better spot
Lucky with the weather

By this time we were ready for a late lunch at Milestone’s before a little shopping and then the bus home. Lovely day.
