23.06.16 Jack Point/Beachcomber

Not raining this morning so decided to return to see the Flickers. On the path saw a Waxwing, some sparrows and a humming bird. Spent over an hour watching the Flickers waiting for some grub to be delivered but eventually decided to go back to the car as it started to rain. We got soaked to the skin so,thought we’d better pop home to change before getting something to eat. Then the rain stopped and so we thought we’d just pop in for a quick look at the Eagles before heading home. Turned into quite some ‘look’ as the sun came out and Jeannie was there and people kept wandering over to discuss Eagles and dogs! Didn’t leave until just after 5pm. We hadn’t even had breakfast! Never mind – bacon and eggs tasted wonderful!

Unfortunately it also meant beer o’clock wasn’t until 5.30pm today. I’m not too sure how this happens – beer o’clock changes every day! On Monday it was just after 12 noon – perfect. Unfortunately it has got later during the week culminating with 5.30 today.  Do we keep skipping into different time zones I ask myself. I’ll let you know if it’s different again tomorrow.

The theme of the day for the Eagles seemed to be playing with sticks!
The rain begins
Flickers shouting for lunch
Two sparrows tap dancing
Waxwing – isn’t he beautiful?
